The German Arms was originally established at No.80 in the main street of Prussian-settled Hahndorf in 1839 and relocated to the present site in about 1880. In 1990 the hotel was completely renovated using 500+ year old timber salvaged from the old Port Adelaide wool stores. This beautiful recycled timber was used in the beams, pillars, ceilings, floors, stairs, bars and even the tables to create a wonderfully mellow atmosphere.
